As a child, Alyce would steal her Dad’s tape recorder, go into his office, and secretly record herself belting out songs from Shania Twain’s ‘Come on Over’ album. At her Dad’s request, Rosemary Clooney and Tommy Dorsey were constant fixtures on the household stereo. Once Alyce became more confident with her voice, she began performing songs from Mariah Carey’s ‘Daydream’ album as well as various songs from the Rent soundtrack. Needless to say, this made for some eclecticc musical nights. Born in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Alyce began singing in church and in theater plays. When she went away to college in Connecticut, she joined her school’s a cappella group and truly fell in love with singing.
After living in NYC for 6 years where she released her debut self-titled EP in 2016, she has made her way West to the alpine rainforest of Portland, Oregon where she continues to write and perform. She is an expressive folksinger who successfully merges the pop, folk and classical elements from her background into a unique sound all her own.
